The Sunday Brunch

After a long weekend of going out, it is always nice to recap the weekend's festivities with a nice relaxing brunch with your friends. Some people are partial to breakfast foods at this time of day, others prefer lunch. These picks keep everyone happy.

    Meriwether's Restaurant - 0

5700 Lindell Blvd. - St. Louis

Meriwether's @ the MO History Museum - Meriwether's serves your classic Sunday brunch items. Omelets to order are always at the top of my list of things to get, but don’t forget about the biscuits and gravy, bacon, fruit, dessert, and much much more. It's located on the second floor of the museum and has great views of Forest Park. It is worth checking out. When you are finished eating, you can check out the Lindbergh exhibit.

    The Scottish Arms

    The Scottish Arms - 5

    6 S. Sarah St. - St. Louis

Scottish Arms - Located at 610 S. Sarah, this pub serves very authentic Scottish/English favorites like bangers and mash. The "Full English" is an undertaking, but worth at least one try. Don't forget Champions League during the spring.

    Crepes Etc. - 1

52 Maryland Plaza - St. Louis

Crepes Etc. - Located @ 52 Maryland Plaza next to the Chase, this place is great if you are looking for something on the lighter side. Good choice of crepes, savory or sweet, and sandwiches. They serve Illy coffee which is fantastic and quickly becoming a habit of mine.

    Rooster

    Rooster - 5

1104 Locust St. - St. Louis

Rooster - Located on Locust near 11th downtown, I found this place on a desperate search for food one morning. They sevre crepes here as well, but I am partial to their other breakfast items. A great egg sandwich called the b.e.l.t., the Finnish pancakes, and the oatmeal are all good bets. Don't forget, free parking meters on Sunday.
