The Golden Gopher is an excellent downtown LA destination for meeting up with friends, grabbing a few drinks and enjoying some interactive ambiance (they have a killer juke box and most of the bar's tables are actually tabletop arcade machines!).

Ok, so it's a bit rowdy and most patrons are sports aficionados, but if you find yourself here and are completely disinterested in your surroundings, well...you'll be glad to know there are several arcade games at your disposal.

Hipsters flock here for local, live music. But, if you're not digging the band on stage--and if you can handle the thick, smoke-filled air in the poorly ventilated back room--plunk a couple of quarters into their Ms. Pac-Man machine.

This might seem like an obvious addition to this list, but... not every bank of arcade games features a good Ms. Pac-Man machine (especially one that doesn't have a sticky joystick!). Luckily, the Sherman Oaks Castle Park delivers.
