Big Mistake!!

On Sept. 24, 2008 my daughter's birthday celebration was the worse Restaurant celebration she experienced. The menu was terribly alternated, according to the waiter and waitress we were told that they were closed for the entire week under renovations and only had selected items that we could choose from which was about 10 items from the menu if that many. And it was presented to us on a written piece of paper.

Some of the party members never received their food and so they left. The chicken wings were hard old and had no taste to them what so ever, and everyone that ordered the wings left them on their plates. The food was cooked on what appeared to be a make shift kitchen behind the bar. The restroom on the main floor was closed become of some problems that occurred and an out of order sign was placed on the door. What an awful experience for everyone that came out that night to help my daughter celebrate a special occasion, and I was very disappointed the entire night.

If there were some problems with the restraurant being renevated my daughter should have been notified in advance instead of having her event an embarrassement from her selection of Restraurants.

I still place Eros on top of Tapas

Ok...so I told you I'd leave another review after my second visit so here it goes...
My server (the bartender) was the best I've had in Atlanta in the 2 years I've lived here. (How can I forget his name??? I think Brett) The food was just as good as the 1st time I ate there however, I didn't like the changed recipe for the calamari (my favorite food). I arrived around 5:15 (website said they open at 5). They were still doing prep work and the hostess said we could sit at the bar until they were ready for us. That was the only thing that killed the ambiance although it was worth the exceptional service from the bartender. I will definitely return.

I'm going back tonight!

I absolutely loved the food here. I'm a tapas restaurant hopper and Eros moved directly into 1st place on my list. The serer had a great personality but was a bit slow and it wasn't busy at all so i'm not so sure what the deal was there. I've only eaten there once and will be returning tonight. I'll let you know if they remain 1st on my list and if the service is any better.

Tasty, chic & unique

As we arrived at Eros we were greeted by complimentary valet staff that actually showed some personality, what a shock! After walking into the building I was awed by the interior. The pictures you may see online don't do it justice. It's very chic, very classy and quite unique. The vibe is unlike anywhere else I've been in Atlanta...this may have a little something to do with the connotations of the name.

The hostess asked our seating preference inside or outside -- I walked outside to scope out the patio (which is cozy and comfortable despite being open air) and returned to express some concern about eating at the low tables. George, one of the owners, introduced himself and escorted us outside to give a lesson on how to eat at the sexy low tables. With a warm and personable owner like him, you're almost guaranteed the same of the staff. The patio had 80s/90s music videos playing when we arrived, shortly after a DJ took over. I can easily see this becoming an exclusive upscale Friday/Saturday night hot spot. The layout of the patio is conducive to mingling, there's plenty of seating, room to dance, they serve food until close and just being there feels good!

Our favorites off the menu were the spanish potatoes, chorizo lollipops, bang bang shrimp and lamb chops although I must admit everything we tried was delicious. There's a definite value for your money here. The portions were generous, the food was delivered expeditiously, everything was freshly made and we had constant attention from the wait staff. We'll definitely be back!
