If you're looking for authentic Southern soul food, then Bankhead Seafood is as authentic as they come. The place is a nondescript shack of a building that's only open during afternoons. Inside, there's little seating, and jugs of hot sauce sit on the counter. Despite the restaurant's ramshackle setting, people line up outside the door to try the fish and hush puppies, chicken breast plates and sweet potato pies.
