Cafe Intermezzo
As you park to make the short walk to Café Intermezzo, everything appears to be typical Buckhead.  As you approach the doors and cross the threshold, you find yourself in a quaint European café.  Whether you are seeking a romantic nook with coffee and dessert, a quick sandwich after leaving an event (late night hours) or dinner and drinks with friends, this small slice of Europe fits the bill.

Atmosphere
: My date and I opted to enjoy the atmosphere and each other on the patio, which featured a cool conversation piece, a huge tree.  Apparently the patio was built around the mammoth foliage.  We were seated in the middle of patrons from all walks of life, on dates, late business meetings and a group of bridesmaids and groomsmen from a wedding that occurred earlier in the evening.  The atmosphere allowed you to experience all that was around, without intruding on the atmosphere you create at your table, which was definitely enjoyable without being intrusive.

Food & Drinks
: The Seafood Risotto was divine!  This dish featured plump shrimp and scallops that were not overcooked and chewy.  The risotto was creamy and very flavorful but the Seafood Risotto was a winner for me.  The drink book featured hundreds of mixed drinks, liquors and coffees.  It can be a bit overwhelming to the novice, but Jack Daniels with a Coke on the side and Captain Morgan with Pineapple Juice were on the menu, therefore the bar should have no difficulties in meeting our expectations.  We were not disappointed; the drinks were not watered down or masked by lots of ice or chaser.

Pricing: For the European ambiance, friendly hostess/wait staff and a pleasurable meal, the bill was not astronomical, where you are expecting some form of discount for just enduring the place and the people.  It truly was a pleasurable evening at Café Intermezzo and I will be returning, but next time for the dessert and coffee experience.
