Packing the passport for some culinary culture

The first jaunt we took was a doozy – all the way to Ethiopia, via South Grand. Meskerem Ethiopian Restaurant was the first place on the list when I thought of “off the beaten path” ethnic, and South Grand is good for showcasing some of the area’s more under-exposed ethnic gems. Not even sure what to expect, we intentionally kept ourselves in the dark so that the experience was brand new. Well, we cheated just a bit – apparently it’s customary to eat with your hands.
