It wasn’t long ago when it seemed like every area of Atlanta was hosting a restaurant week, touting three-course meals for $25 or $35. Now One Midtown Kitchen is promising its own restaurant week of sorts, only this one is every week. On Sundays and Mondays, One is offering three-course meals for $25.
Diners can choose from a pre-set menu of select appetizers, entrees and desserts. One offers contemporary American food in a setting near Piedmont Park. Sample entrees include hickory-grilled chicken, wood-oven pizza, scallops, jerk-spiced duck, bluefin tuna steak and smoked brisket.
Located at 559 Dutch Valley Road, One Midtown Kitchen can be reached at 404-892-4111 or www.onemidtownkitchen.com.
Rio Grande introduces new menu: Rio Grande Cantina is celebrating its 19th anniversary. Yes, this Mexican Buckhead staple has been feeding hungry Atlantans tacos and quesadillas and many a margarita for nearly two decades now. The restaurant has introduced a new menu in honor of the occasion.
Items include fried chicken tacos, buffalo shrimp tacos, fried fish tacos, Southwestern chicken salad and mango salsa. Rio Grande is also serving new drinks to spice up your meal. Try the Gulp of Mexico—a fishbowl with rum and vodka mixed with blue curaco and Sprite or a Skinny Margarita—a low-carbohydrate, low-calorie margarita made with fresh lime and orange.
Rio Grande is located at 3227 Roswell Road. Call 404-237-3227 or visit www.riograndeatlanta.com for more information.
RA Sushi adds to its menu: The much acclaimed RA Sushi Bar Restaurant, which made its presence known in the 1010 Midtown building less than a year ago has already begun expanding. The trendy restaurant recently added several new items to its already extensive menu. These include a grilled short ribs appetizer, Kaisen ceviche, pork Katsu and the “RA”llipop sushi roll—tuna, salmon, yellowtail, spicy tuna mix, lettuce, asparagus and cucumber, wrapped in Asian radish and served on a skewer with a garlic ponzu sauce.
RA has also added a whole section of sashimi tapas to the menu, featuring sweet onion salmon, sesame lemon whitefish, garlic citrus yellowtail, crispy onion albacore and seared tuna. Other additions include the Hot Mess—crispy rice balls topped with a spicy king crab mix, baked and finished with jalapeño and cilantro—and spicy rice crispy treats—soy paper hand rolls filled with crispy rice balls, spicy tuna mix, cucumber, avocado, lettuce and sauteed nuts, and served with a soy chili sauce.
