Tucked between a Waffle House and a McDonald's, Spondivits, with its mountain lodge ambiance, feels distinctly out of place. Inside, diners can sit elbow to elbow at a wraparound bar, perch on stools at long-legged tables, or slide into fairly comfortable wooden booths. Local radio music, loud calls for wait-listed customers and TV sportscasts make conversation difficult in this boisterous, fun restaurant.
