Metromix’s Fram Jam Family Christmas brought the festiveness and fun to Hell at the Masquerade in 2008. Radio personality Leslie Fram returned to her hometown to host the event with fellow disc jockey and former MTV host Matt Pinfield. Pinfield even performed an impromptu Christmas song with Carrie Johnson, while Fram held the lyrics. Johnson kicked off the night with her signature acoustic sound, followed by local hipsters Death on Two Wheels, the soulful Ben Deignan, energetic band The Hot Rods and alternative rockers Gringo Star. Each band played their own music in 30-minute sets and also included holiday staple songs like “Blue Christmas” and “Run, Run, Rudolph.” The room might have been filled with tacky sweaters, but everyone onstage was a class act.
