Claim to fame: Although they haven’t gotten as much attention or acclaim as other Irish-American punk bands like the Dropkick Murphys and Flogging Molly, the Tossers have been at it longer than almost anyone. Unlike the Pogues or Black 47, their songs tend to be mostly about drinking; sample song titles include “Buckets of Beer,” “Seven Drunken Nights” and “Drinking in the Day.”

Did you know? The Tossers’ debut album was called—wait for it—“The Pint of No Return.” Ah, Irish wit!
