A celebration for Atlanta's new downtown public art program
The launch party for "Elevate/Art Above Underground" attracted a crowd on Aug. 26, 2011. The new public art program features work from local, national and international artists displayed around Underground Atlanta (along Upper Alabama Street and in nearby areas). "Elevate" will continue through Oct. 30, 2011.
The grand opening event included performances by Noot d' Noot, Doodledrag, Lelavision, Nathan Sharratt, Allison Rentz, Priscilla Smith and Edward Wenzer. Atlanta food trucks were on hand to serve guests.
