The Atlanta roller derby season starts on March 13
Last year was arguably the most successful season to date for the Atlanta Rollergirls. In addition to selling out every bout, the Rollergirls also hosted Southern Fried Smackdown, the South Central Regional Tournament, for the first time in league history last September.
As they prepare for their sixth season, the Rollergirls have shaken things up quite a bit to keep the action fresh and exciting for fans and skaters alike. A pre-season draft puts many familiar faces in new uniforms and many former allies on opposing teams. Throw in some new skaters, transferring derby girls from other leagues and at least one veteran coming out of retirement and this season has the potential to be the most intriguing yet.
