Captain Planet 2008
These days it's important to be nice to your mother, and yes we know that you already are sweet to mom, but we're talking about Mother Earth here. On Friday night, droves of Atlanta's environmentally conscious came out to the 14th annual Xmas Party at the Tabernacle to do just that. And not only did they raise money for the Captain Planet Foundation (their goal is to educate and inspire children to become great environmental stewards and leaders), but they hung with Chevy Chase, Ludacris and our city's own TV mogul Ted Turner.
Guests sported "Superhero chic" attire while dancing to the sounds of Chuck Levall of The Rolling Stones, Jack Blades of Night Ranger and Damn Yankees, Jeff Carlisi of .38 Special, Wally Palmar of The Romantics, Band X and Soul Stash. The live and silent auctions rocked, bringing in lots of dough and best of all, MMX stopped in to not only help save the planet, but have a couple drinks and snap some pics of our city's fabulous philanthropists.
