Atlanta Humane Society's Pet Parade raises money to help animals
There's no parade like a pet parade—especially the one held in Candler Park on Saturday, May 2. Pet owners and their furry companions turned out in force for the Atlanta Human Society's 19 th annual Pet Parade: A Walk for Animals. All of the participants were turned out in their finest attire—from jeweled collars to eye-catching spring ensembles. The event also included animal adoptions and demonstrations by local rescue organizations. Proceeds from the event will support the Humane Society shelter's programs and services. In 2008, the walk helped raise $250,000 for the Humane Society. Visit www.atlantapetparade.com for more information.
