'Thriller' dance at Underground Atlanta honors Michael Jackson
Hundreds of Michael Jackson fans came out to honor the memory of the King of Pop at Kenny's Alley at Underground Atlanta. 11Alive, Metromix and V103 spread the word about the "Thriller" dance tribute and the people of Atlanta were ready to bust a move MJ-style. Harry the Hawk led the crowd for a few numbers and it didn't take long before the dancing took on a life of its own. "Thriller," "Billy Jean," "PYT," "Bad" and other hits blared from the speakers as the crowd line danced in unison. There was a 7-foot sympathy card that was signed by all in attendance. The card will be sent to the Jackson family. It was clear that the people of Atlanta had been profoundly influenced by Jackson and were anxious to celebrate his life.—Kelley Hagen, Metromix
