16th annual Fashion Cares event

There are many things to be said about fashion, including fashion rocks!  On Monday, August 25, Atlanta will show that "Fashion Cares" in the 16th annual charity spectacular. Taking place at 55 Allen Plaza, the evening will include a pre-show reception, fashion show and VIP after-party.

"Jeffrey Fashion Cares," was founded by Jeffrey Kalinsky and chaired this year by Lila Hertz and Sacha Taylor, the event promises to garner funds beyond last year's record breaking $700,000. "We are thrilled to start this year with such a success, especially in such tough economic times," said Taylor.

Aiding in the appeal of this year's show will be the 2008 host, Isaac Mizrahi. Following last year's host, Oscar de la Renta, Mizrahi is excited about the honor. "Jeffrey has always stood for style and great taste," he states.  Born and raised in New York by a fashion-obsessed mother and a childrens clothing manufaturing father, Mizrahi was destined to be a force in fashion. Since his beginnings, Mizrahi has become an actor, talk show host, costume designer, introduced a stylish womens fashion line at Target and served as the creative director for Liz Claiborne.

This years show proves to be the best and possibly, most entertaining show yet. Benifitting Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the Atlanta AIDS Partnership Fund, attendees can expect an evening of fashionable faire.

After the show, be sure to rub elbows with the VIP's and beautiful people on the rooftop of the conveniently located French American Brasserie (FAB).
