Just in time for their first wedding anniversary, toy giant Mattel announced Wednesday it will sell doll versions of Prince William and Kate Middleton on their wedding day.
Fans in London already are flocking to pre-order the plastic pair at about $150, according to The Daily Mail. The dolls will be available in stores in April for about $100, Mattel said.
Each doll comes dressed in full wedding regalia, replicating what the couple wore at Westminster Abbey for their April 29 wedding spectacular.
Now known as Catherine Duchess of Cambridge, her doll wears an ivory wedding gown with a lace torso and full skirt, similar to the Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen royal wedding dress that impressed so many around the world last year. The doll holds a posy of seasonal flowers in one hand, just as Kate did, and wears a an ivory veil, a sparkling tiara and matching drop earrings.
The Prince William doll is dressed in his scarlet Irish Guards colonel's uniform, topped with a blue Order of the Garter sash stitched with his RAF wings.
