Justin Bieber, Nicki Minaj, Emma Stone and many other stars jumped on the social media bandwagon this week to help make the name Kony go viral.
On Monday, filmmakers released a 30-minute video as part of an effort called KONY 2012 that targets Joseph Kony, a Ugandan bush fighter wanted by the International Criminal Court for crimes against humanity.
Uganda, Invisible Children and #stopkony were among the top 10 trending terms on Twitter worldwide Wednesday night, ranking higher than New iPad or Peyton Manning, reports AP.
Ryan Seacrest posted a note on his Facebook page with the video, saying, "Was going to sleep last night and saw ur tweets about Kony 2012...watched in bed, was blown away."
Diddy's tweet: "Dear Joseph Kony, I'm Gonna help Make you FAMOUS!!!! We will stop YOU #StopKONY ! All 6,OOO,OOO of my followers RT NOW!!! Pls!" has retweeted 62, 287 times (at last count).
