In the past 4+ years I have worked for Spring4th Center, I have had the most wonderful experiences and met some of the greatest people. When I first came into the job, I was a metal and rockabilly fan (my name is Elvis, heh) but the place has opened the doors for me in so many way by seeing some of the best unknown scenes here in Atlanta. I would never trade the past 4 years for the life I've lived and watching the center grow from a unknown underground spot to the wonderful venue it is now. It's quirky, kooky, and low-brow, but in a great way. We showcase local artisits on the wall and on the stage as well. We may not be the 1150 type of spot but we fill a much needed part of the scene. The best way to learn about what we have here is to come out. www.sprring4th.com Say hi to me if you do :)

I love this place. This is one of the last places that a person can enjoy a great cigar and the company of friends without the pleasure police bothering you. They even have over 100 micro-brewery beers. Did I Say I Love this Place.

I hang out in the highlands a lot and like to drink good beer. It is hard to find a place with a real craft deer selection ( blue moon and stella don't count). Finally Neighbor's has stepped up and added 10 new taps. With Rogue Chocolate Stout, Maredsaus, Ommegang Witte, Festive, Abita Jockamo and others it a breath of fresh air.

The Whistle Post Tavern is a great place to go for a good time in Conyers. The people and staff are friendly.
BitOKass wrote about Whistle Post Tavern
I am in-towner, through and through. I rarely travel outside the perimeter and when I do, Conyers would certainly be last on the list of places to head. BUT - This place is wonderful and usually quite packed and local people have described it to me as "the only place to drink in Conyers". I've only been there at night but the staff is extremely friendly. Its a family run business and they don't tolerate any crap. The review I read below stating that kids were "running everywhere" and "fights broke out"... I have to say that has never been my experience there and I have been there easily two dozen times at this point. Its a great place for ADULTS, live entertainment, dancing, talking and my big plus is that it is a non-smoking establishment. There is a very nice patio of off the main area with benches, tables and umbrellas for individuals that wish to smoke. The owner, Chris, is always there, always looking out for his staff, customers and entertainment. I have never seen him let anyone go home drunk, even if he's got to pay for the cab himself. Apparently this bar & grill has been apart of the town for a very long time and I can see why; besides the good staff and environment, its always clean. So take it from a hard to please in-towner; if you've got to head to Conyers - I would certainly recommend stopping by the Whistlepost Tavern. They have definitely turned me into a repeat customer and a believer that there are decent eats and treats east of the city!

MilitarySlim wrote about The Corner Tavern
I have gone here a few times and the environment is not “my cup of tea”. Not the high end sort of crowd. I was here on the 5th and last time on 11/02/09 when the security person got chewed out for breaking up a fight. He was outweighed by more than 50 pounds by both people, yet, he jumped right in and split the fight up. One of the best examples of professionalism I have seen from club security/bouncers. Once he told the guys to leave he was verbally assaulted by a bartender and the owner over a tab. There is more importance put on a tab than on the safety and well being of the customer. If you are looking to have a good, uneventful, time, Corner Tavern is not the place for you. Security gets in trouble for being security. If you are looking for prostitution, drugs, and bloody fights then check them out. Atleast Baja’s is big enough that the chance of seeing a fight is slim but the chance of being in a fight is next to non-existant. There are no places in Newnan that are half way decent but Scott (I think that was his name) was attempting to clean this one up until he got his butt crawled for doing his job. I will never go back to The Tavern….but Hey, thumbs up to Shane (DJ Cancerous). He is awesome on the mike.

The staff are great. The bands are awesome! They have great prices on beer and if you're hungry, the food is not your typical greasy bar food: it's delicious. I've even stopped by for a late afternoon bite before they get cranked up and going and to food was still great. The place rocks.
bcarmi4384 wrote about Shooters Alley
The girls are very diverse. The place is not too big and not too small but just right in size. Most of the girls are very friendly. I do disagree with the previous post on the VIP rooms. They are not private at all compared to other clubs. The only thing that seperate you are beads and you can see right through them. Curtains would be more private like Oasis.

Poor service and scary atmosphere. The foods mediocre if you're lucky and overall I won't be comming here again.

The crowd is CLEARLY a younger crowd and the music is terrible. A few well known songs here and there but you should never play a song twice- signs of a terrible DJ. Other issues: long line despite the small crowd inside (ok, I know alot of clubs do this), once you order your drink you MUST promptly move away from the bar- one security guard rudely pushed my friend who was waiting for me to get my drink, you have to stand on the dance floor or in designated areas, you are only allowed to sit in certain places and if you want to sit in a booth- you have to buy a bottle PLEASE! this club is not worth buying a bottle. I was literally told what I can & cannot do at least 10 times in the 2 hours I was there. I only stayed because I was with other people & didn't drive!
Nihontopride wrote about Fannie's Cabaret
I had seen the adds of Fannies Show Bar and I thought the ladies were very attractive so despite the fact I lived about 20 miles away (Fannies is just outside 285 on the west end, And I'm in east Gwinnett) I decided to go and check the place out. I'm always looking for a good deal, and they waved the entrance fee and charge only $5 for a table dance before 8pm, so I decided to visit as soon as they opened (12 noon, Saturday). I walked in and a middle-aged man with gray hair checked my ID. Once inside, I went into the Mens room to do the usual thing. After I was finished, I surveyed the showroom and walked up to the bar, wanting to get a closer look at one of the ladies who seemed to be my type. The female bartender came up to me and asked if I wanted a drink, I told her I don't drink alcohol, but I might take a soda. She informed me they were $4, which I figured they would be around that price, and I politely declined. She then told me that in order to stay, I'm required to buy at least two drinks. I was rather shocked to hear that, and I asked her if I could see that in writing (If the drinks were required, then any decent business would have a sign or some other written material stating such requirements). She called the manager over and he explained that before 8pm, the patrons must buy at least two drinks in order to stay, but he'll make an exception and require me to only buy one if I get a table dance. I wasn't happy about such unethical business tactics, but I agreed and told the bartender I wanted a Sprite (Only other option was Coke) and added that I would still like to see the policy in writing (I don't take such unethical tactics lightly, Most people would fork over the cash, but I'm not most people) Before the bartender could reply, the manager stepped in and told me "Well, if you're going to be like that, then you can just leave." I quickly agreed and walked out of the door and simply stated out loud "And I had heard that Fannies was a good club and I had just drove over 20 miles from Gwinnett county to get here." Shaking my head in disappointment. If any of you want to go to Fannies, I wouldn't suggest going before 8pm, but I have a feeling that the service is terrible at all hours. Simply put, Bait and Switch.

SamL341 wrote about Thinking Man Tavern
I have been going to the Thinking Man for years and have always had a good experience, but last Saturday night, 9/19/09, we had a falling out. A friend and I were playing a game of darts and he ordered another beer. Lo and behold, he had already had five (not necessarily indulgent considering we had been there for nearly four hours) and was told he was cut off. It was my understanding that a patron is cut off when he shows signs of having too much. But my friend was fine and composed, and even our server agreed with this. But the manager told her the limit had been met and that was that. My friend even spoke with the manager, but he would not budge. The manager made our group feel unwanted and disrespected. We had put $20.00 in the juke box that night and our tab was over $130.00, so I thought we would have been treated with the dignity we ourselves make an effort to show. But I guess not. The Thinking Man lost business that night. I will not lose sleep over this, but I hope others out there will think twice before giving your hard earned money to a bar that makes you feel burdensome and unwelcome. Decatur has plenty of drinking holes, and I recommend trying any one other than the Thinking Man Tavern.

Bad service! staff has no respect or knowledge of customer service I would never recommend it this place to anybody!! Too many places to go rather take my money somewhere else..

First hot 107.9 announced it was free all night, once we got there they said they were giving us a deal by letting us get in for $40. Thats false advertisement. On top of that it was rainning and they made wait in the rain for our friends. The body guards at the entrance were talking stuff in each others ears, like some lil high school girls, saying we probably had no money. Im not gonna pay for bad customer service and ill never go back there again!

Great cocktail list and free snacks for anyone that wants it. Well made drinks and strong I might add which is always a + after a long day. Great place to hang out after work and it seems like they have great regular customers, everyone knew everyone's name. What can I say it felt like home!!!!! Plan to go back with more friends very soon.
