The city's top bartenders compete in a cocktail contest
On Monday, Nov. 28, 2011, some of Atlanta's top bartenders took part in the Manhattan Experience at Ormsby's. During the contest, they competed to see who could create the city's best Manhattan, a classic cocktail made with whiskey, sweet vermouth, and bitters. The event was presented by Woodford Reserve Bourbon and Esquire magazine.
The winner will move on the finals of the contest, which will be held on Jan. 9, 2012 in New York, where the Manhattan cocktail was created. Other cities where the Manhattan Experience took place include Miami, Seattle, Chicago, Denver, Indianapolis and Louisville, Ky.
