Hosted by Dave FM's Mara Davis, the fundraiser at Tongue and Groove featured the work of local artists
During Bodies as A Work of Art, all of Tongue and Groove became an art gallery. Local artists displayed their work on the bodies of models instead of the walls. Both male and female models were painted in vibrant colors and adorned in costumes, feathers and dramatic accessories.
The event was hosted by Dave FM's Mara Davis and was attended by many members of the Atlanta media. Guests included Rich Eldredge of Atlanta magazine, Jenn Hobby of Q100's The Bert Show and Jessica Dauler of Jessica Shops and Star 94. Anoop Desai, from Season 8 of American Idol, performed during the evening.
Proceeds from the event benefited The Chelko Foundation Scholarship for women in the arts and Jaden’s Ladder, a nonprofit organization that assists the survivors of domestic violence.
