It seems as if gastropubs have been popping up all over, which is definitely a good thing. BookHouse was opened in fall 2008 by the same people who operate MJQ, which is just across the parking lot from the pub. It's a cross between a warm and cozy mountain lodge and an English pub. The beer selection is extensive and features several brews that you just don't see that often. To complement the suds is a tasty pub menu that takes bar food a bit further. Options include everything from grilled cheese sandwiches (made with sourdough bread and white cheddar cheese and served with a tomato dipping sauce) and burgers to hanger steak and a seared duck breast. Plus, there are plenty of appetizers like blue cheese chips and buffalo wings.
