The Highlander is a great spot for no-frills bar food, beer and cocktails. It's also quite the spot for Jager drinks and is consider by some to be the Jager capital of the Southeast. In the game room, which includes video games and air hockey, the coin-operated pool tables are where crowds gather for friendly (and sometimes heated) competition. The bar hosts trivia on Sundays and Drunk Bingo on Mondays. Local bands also perform here. The Highlander has been featured in an episode of the Food Network's "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives."
