Stella Neighborhood Trattoria: User Reviews
Stella Neighborhood Trattoria
536 Memorial Drive - Atlanta404-688-4238
When you are looking for good, solid Italian food without the extras, Stella is your best bet. It's not overly fancy. It's simple and clean. The food is tasty. It's not the best you've ever had but it's comforting. The memo that bread is not the best for you has been delivered but try resisting it here. Pizza and pasta selections are limited but they are good. The margherita is very good. As, for the pasta, especially the pomodoro with meatballs, I don't think there are better meatballs in Atlanta and the sauce is very good. The ingredients are organic for the most part; you really do taste the freshness. As for dessert, the cannoli, an Italian staple, is a good choice. Stella is not the place you go when you want to impress someone; it's exactly as it bills itself, a "neighborhood" spot.

My favorite is the Baci pasta (cheese purses in vodka sauce) and hand-tossed pizzas. Servers are uber friendly, the prices are affordable and they're generous supporters of the community! It's fine dining quality for under 10 bucks.
