Drink of the Week: Peach Cocktails
The Morning Taxi at Serpas True Food

Living in Georgia you can't escape peachesthey're everywhere from street names to license plates. But the best iteration of the prized peach has got to be the yummy cocktails inspired by this fruit. Whether it's peach perfection at brunch or a peachy porch sipper, the subtle sweetness suits the summer. So drink up Southern belles and beaus, because things are tasting pretty peachy.

The Livingston: Southern Belle
The Southern Belle from the Livingston is sweet, simple and sophisticated (just like its namesake). This drink, served only at Sunday brunch, is a peachy twist on a traditional mimosa made with Riando Prosecco bubbly and vanilla-infused peach puree. The unexpected hint of vanilla adds a pleasant surprise. At only $5 a pop, you can afford to make brunch a little sweeter.

South City Kitchen: Back Porch
If you are looking for a stiffer peach-flavored drink, then look no further than the Back Porch at South City Kitchen. It's made Leopold Bros. Georgia Peach Whiskey, a unique liquor blended with actual peaches picked at the peak of freshness. Four Roses Bourbon, sweet vermouth, Fee Brothers Peach Bitters and a drunken peach slice completes the cocktail and does the humble peach proud.

Serpas True Food: Morning Taxi
When venturing out for brunch at Serpas True Food, you should have a taste of the boozy breakfast drink the Morning Taxi. The cocktail doesn't have an overtly peachy flavor, however. Instead, the peach schnapps plays a supporting role to the orange-juice-and-bourbon-based beverage. A touch of peach and a nip of bourbon may be just what you need to get your Sunday off right.

Osteria del Figo: Cortona
Peach beverages may not come to mind  first when you think of this Italian eatery. Still, Osteria del Figo has created a peach cocktail called the Cortona that rivals the best of them. It mixes citrus vodka, pomegranate and peach schnapps, a splash of cranberry and peach nectar for a cocktail with lots of fruity, yet non-competing, flavors. The pomegranate, cranberry and citrus cut through the sweetness of the fresh peach for a great summer sip.

Cafe Circa: Summer in Georgia
The mixologists at Cafe Circa took the bright flavors of summer and combined them into a peachy summer cocktail aptly named Summer in Georgia. Peach-infused Plymouth Gin gives this drink a kick ,while lime juice, honey syrup, fresh ginger, raspberries and peach bitters keep it tasting lively. There's just enough peach to keep it in the family, but it seems more like a rebellious stepsister.
