The Wadsworth Auditorium
When classical music icon Charles Wadsworth performed in childhood piano recitals at the Newnan Municipal Auditorium, he probably never imagined that the venue would one day bear his name. The Wadsworth Auditorium received its new title in February of 1998, nearly three decades after the man himself founded Lincoln Center's Chamber Music Society. In addition to being on the National Register of Historic Places, the auditorium hosts concerts, speakers and other events year-round and is one of Newnan's most valued treasures.
